In all recoveries there is an urgency to get money to communities quickly. As a project reviewer in New York City for Hurricane Sandy, I ensured that recovery projects complied with federal regulations and standards, correctly calculated cost estimates, and adequately captured the scope of work to be completed. I personally reviewed over 100 projects that totaled over $100M for all types of infrastructure repair – parks, tunnels, housing complexes, schools, among others. It makes me happy to see the devastated parts of New York recovered and proud to know I helped.
